Chandra Shekhar Azad had taken the pledge that he will never going to be caught by the British and when he was caught at that time instead of breaking his vow he used his last bullet to become a martyr. This four centuries old fort is popularly known as “ Rani Khansi Ka Kila”. The fort is located on Bangara Hill and is an icon symbolizing First war of freedom in 1875 with The Queen of Jhansi - Lakshmi Bai. It is spread over 20 hectares with spectacular 10 gates. August Kranti Maidan
The call for Quit India Movement was started here on 8th August 1942. The movement was a call to assemble the masses with a pledge of “Do or Die”. The Jallianwala Bagh Massacre is the most terrifying chapter in the history of Independence, where a peaceful protest on 13th April, 1919 turned into a throng killing. This place conveys the tale of the killing through bullet marks still embedded in the walls.
